Three Poems – Rose Knapp

Harmonic Haiku

I have the rhythmic melodies pulsating through
My entire being, sound waves crash

And flow through me in Western scaled
Puritanical perfectionist Lisztian staccatos of harmony

Rave Haiku

Sleek skittering silver sharp metallic ice hi hats
Sink, ricocheting ping pongs of dance until dawn MDMA
Enlightenment underneath the aglow red epileptic strobes

Estradiol

Breasts peaking through the matriarchal veil
Divine hormones, divine sparkling pure feelings

Subtly singing in archangelic seraphic polyphonic
Choruses of the radiant feminine goddesses
