EXTENDED SUBMISSION CALL THRU NOV. 30th, 2025 FOR JANUARY 2026 ISSUE!
Ice Floe is excited to announce a new on-line project is opening for submissions on the 25th of October. We will accept work until Nov. 30th, 2025.
In the spirit of experimentation, hybridity and collaboration we are looking for work on the encompassing areas of Process / Marginalia / Otherworld.
We welcome guest curator Vikki C. to helm the project along with Robert Frede Kenter. These two feisty collaborators will read the submissions and make decisions for the forthcoming online issue which will appear at some point in January 2026!
Send us poems, prose, visual images, video, sound pieces. Send us work with at least 2 elements: i.e. a poem with art, prose and a video, a sound work and a poem, etc. Any combination of elements that is deeply original, new, and breaks ground in your own practice – process. You can create the elements alone or with a collaborator.

Intersecting Motifs of Interest
We also want to see some element of the ‘process’ involved in your production/ pieces. This could be a transformational element: thinking process, annotations, how you arrived at the juxtaposition of elements, why one element works, or does not work, with another.
Metamorphosis, (of society, self), the position of being “outside” or creating “otherworlds” (past, present, future); mirrors and windows; references, dreamscapes, mythologies, ecological visions, relationships between subject/ media / materiality.

Construct, deconstruct, examine a favorite aside, footnote, put something together, take it apart. We are open to a wide range of styles, expressions, abstractions, visions. Remember to include some element of process or (margins) related to your work, whether found or created, and work with a colleague, or singularly create a hybrid work that imagines otherworlds inside this one, inside self, in opposition to received structures, explore and interrogate your relationship to normative conditions. What do we do and where do we go and how do we proceed in times of great uncertainty. Inclusions, exclusions, the margins, hope and despair, marginalization, ephemera.

Vikki C. and Robert Frede Kenter are excited to read your works across the ‘landscapes’ of hybridity: remember to send us two elements that (e)merge out of each other in some way: juxtaposition, addendum, a margin, a correlation, a dialectical opposition. It’s up to you. Remember to incorporate some engagement with your process and in the margins of your concerns explore corporeal and/or ethereal experience. Let’s move together beyond binaries and explore (examine) where time/ space/ vision / history and the outside leads us. Don’t be afraid to deconstruct.
