Night Walk
wind roaring in ear ferocity of night airclawing skin shooting through bones
avoiding nocturnal animals bar hopping for prey
headlights blur into dance at a distance each fading
to next each a reminder
of lives of strangers forward looking eyes
apartment window is the lighthouse shepherding way to a life
as rich as yours a grazing you will never know
in pursuit of your own pain
